It's the little things

Well, today, I decided I should call and let USCIS know our fingerprints were done early....and when I called the lady on the other end of the line asked me if I wanted to leave a message for my officer.

WHAT??? Did I hear her right??  My Officer!!!!

Most the time it takes weeks to get assigned an officer.  We were printed on Friday and have an officer today.  Praising God for the Little things :-)

I am expecting an approval will soon follow.

We left our fingerprints behind :)

Well, we were not able to go down for our appointment on the 8th because a good friend and Co-worker of my husband passed away, and he needs to be available to work.  When looking at our schedule on Wednesday, the ONLY available time (without rescheduling our appointment) for us to get our finger prints done was yesterday.

The trip down there went great.  It took us about 4 1/2 hours to get there.  We took our two youngest ones with us, so we had to travel a little slower.  Stopping for bottle feeds, g-tube feeds, and diaper changes.  But, when we walked into the USCIS office, it was as if we had an appointment to be there (don't you just love it when God goes before you and clears the way).  We filled out our paper work, visited with the front desk lady, and after about 5 minutes a piece at the finger print computer, Jim and I were done.  It was AWESOME.  We were in and out of there in about a half hour total!

After that we went and grabbed a bite to eat and headed home.  Oh boy!
The early Friday afternoon traffic on I25 caused us to travel at about 5-10 miles per hour for 13 miles.  It took us nearly 50 minutes to travel that distance.  We left the city center at 2:45 and got back to our home town around 7:45.  What a long trip back!  We hit snow, sleet, rain, fog, and sunny spots all along the way.  It was a long trip, but it was nice to spend some "basically alone" time with my husband.  We needed it.  We got to eat fast food together laugh and have a great time in each others company.  It was a good trip all in all.

So today we take a deep breath, and thank God for his perfect timing.  Everything went great and our Finger prints are done!  Yeah!
